25 years old, and I live in Athens. I was recruited by Veronica from WOSM.
I have previously supported TTBW during a “Summer Camp” in Thessaloniki, with interpretation, and I am now looking forward to support the project full time in this volunteer role.
Why are you here?
I am here for many reasons. I am passionate about TTBW as I have seen first-hand the positive impact that it has on the community they are helping, and want to be more involved in this. Also, having my own personal experiences similar to the kids. I want to be able to make myself a good role model for them in showing how a positive attitude and engaging in these projects can help with integrating into a new country, and ultimately living a better and more positive life.
Your proudest moment?
The thing I am most proud of is all of my work with refugees since arriving in Greece, because I came from a refugee community and I have used my experiences and language skills to help other refugees make better lives.
I always have a positive attitude, and bring enthusiasm and fun to everything I do. I can speak 6 languages, and I’m a believe myself to be a great communicator. I love being active, and I’m very sporty. Most of all I am a very hardworking and determined person.
How do you relax?
To relax, I like to spend time with my friends and family, going for coffee or going to the beach and swimming in the sea. One of my favourite times of the day is watching sunset at Judgement Rock near Acropolis.
If you had a theme song, what would it be?
Finesse by Bruno Mars, because it’s so much fun to dance to!
If I was a film character I would be?
Harry Potter. He protects his friends and has magic powers which is cool.
