Greek, 23 years old, recruited by Soma Hellinon Proskopon (SHP).

Why are you here?

As a scout, I love helping other people and the refugee crisis has allowed me to participate in lots of activities with refugees in this role. I have been involved in many different ways from cooking for families to playing with vulnerable children.  After all these years in the scout movement with my fellow citizens, I am now ready to do whatever I can to help people who leave their countries for a better future.

 Your proudest moment?

One thing that I have done recently and I am very proud of is the ascent of the highest peak of Greece, Mt. Olympus, with the adult members of my scout group. A true challenge!

Your strengths and a weakness?

My strengths are my determination, my passion for helping others, and my practical engagement with children of various ages to assist them in developing life skills. My weakness, if I have to admit it… is my passion for food. This has given me the inspiration to develop activities involving the traditional dishes from different countries…there is a positive side to every weakness!

How do you relax?

I love to go hiking at the weekend and enjoy playing basketball with friends.

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

It would definitely be the Harry Potter theme song for its sense of mystery:

If you were a film character, who would it be?

I think that I would be DEADPOOL (a fast-talking mercenary with a morbid sense of humour). That’s because I love getting on and doing whatever I am planning, although I always mean good things.
